FOOTWEAR

Footwear can consist of civilian or military style brogans, English made shoes, or other proper period civilian shoe. If you wear boots, they must be of correct style and design of the period. NO desert boots, work shoes, engineer boots, combat boots, black sports shoes or other improper boots or shoes. Soles should be of all leather, and either stitched or pegged soles--NO rubber soles. Above are several correct styles of brogans and boots. From left to right; 1850's style worker's shoe, below-the-knee boots, civilian dress boot, and military brogans. All have either wood pegged or stitched soles made of leather. Laces on the shoes are made of rawhide.
