There are several styles of packs and bedrolls. There are hard packs and soft packs of various designs available. Check with a knowledgeable pard before purchasing to be sure it is correct, since the styles and varieties are numerous. The other option is a bedroll. There are several ways to make a bedroll. Check original images and with your pards about the different ways to make a bedroll. Some examples are a twist, a straight roll, and blanket roll. Blankets should be of wool or jean cloth, of a woven style in correct period colors/designs.  Patchwork quilts are also acceptable as long as the materials and construction used are correct for the period. Coverlets may also be used. NO modern army blankets. Above are a blanket roll, a U.S. 1853/55 model double bag knapsack, and a hard pack.
