UNIFORMS

The standards for the uniform (i.e. pants and jackets/coats) in the 1st Battalion CMF are set and enforced by the individual companies.  The company uniform, however, must be based on period styles/patterns used by Confederate units and be constructed of proper materials.
In regards to undergarments and socks, period underwear is optional, but proper patterns and materials are available and some good drawers are available "off the rack."  All members should also have a pair of period socks, either cotton or wool.  Modern woolen socks like rag wool or L.L. Bean socks are not acceptable.
